U2, Coldplay and Beyoncé to headline Glastonbury 2011 says Holy Moly

February 8th, 2011

U2, Coldplay, and Beyoncé are to headline this Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury this summer according to Holy Moly

The entertainment website claims to have exclusive information that U2 will headline on Friday, Coldplay on Saturday and Beyoncé will close the festival on Sunday.

Holy Moly have been correct with their Glastonbury line-up predictions in the past and all three acts have been rumoured to play for a while. U2 pulled out last year due to Bono’s back injury, then later released a song titled “Glastonbury”, so have been widely expected to play this year, Michael Eavis said last year that Coldplay would be returning this year, and Beyoncé is obviously the American female act who hasn’t played the festival before that Michael said he’d been trying to get for “yonks and yonks”, so we have no reason to doubt that this information is correct.
