Oxfam opened applications to steward at Glastonbury and twelve other UK festivals today.
To volunteer, you must be prepared to work 3 x 8¼ hour shifts before or during the festival. In return, you will be provided with secure camping, toilets, showers, a meal ticket per shift and full training.
To be eligible to volunteer to steward at Glastonbury and the other festivals, you must
- Attend training every four years
- Provide a reference
- Apply online and pay a deposit
- Attend the festival(s) for the full onsite dates
- Be eligible to volunteer in the UK
- Be 18 or over on the arrival day of the festival (there is no upper age limit!)
- Adhere to Oxfam’s standards of behaviour
Other festivals that Oxfam will be supplying stewards for this summer are RockNess, Download, Latitude, WOMAD, Camp Bestival, Kendal Calling, Big Chill, Beautiful Day, Shambala, Reading, Leeds and Bestival.
