Front of Pyramid Stage to be flag free says Emily Eavis

Emily Eavis has confirmed on Twitter that the front of the Pyramid Stage will be kept flag free this year.

This follows numerous complaints over the last few years that the main stages are being obscured by the volume of flags at the frontĀ  In a poll earlier this year on the official Glastonbury Festival website, festival goers voted by a slight majority not to ban flags outright, but the shear number of people who voted to ban them showed that this is an issue for many people.

We don’t know how this wll be enforced, ot the extend of the no flag zone yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as more information is available.

Emily was asked if there are any plans to reduce the number of flags in front of the barrier (Pyramid Stage).

@emilyeavis Is there any more info on plans to reduce the flag problems? ie a ban of flags in front of the first barrier?
