Emily Eavis has said that she believes Jay-Z’s performance at Glasto 2008 has encouraged other band’s to perform at the event again.
Despite being criticised before the festival, Jay-Z wowed some of the crowd with a headlining performance on the Pyramid Stage last year.
Emily went on to say that this year’s Glasto, which will include performances from Blur and Bruce Springsteen, had a lot to thank the Jay-Z for.
“We have got the best possible line-up that we could get this year and I think Jay-Z, we’ve got a lot to thank him for, because we’ve never had so many bands wanting to play,” she said.
